The forgotten Soldier / Le soldat oublié
by Guy Sajer
ISBN 2-221-03739-1
|
While the story is about a soldier in the Grossdeutschland Division during WWII and not related to the Fallschirmjager, it is
a must read for any serious student of WWII. (The book is written under the pen name; Guy Sajer. The author is Guy Mouminoux
the son of a French and German marriage, Sajer is his mother's maiden name. M. Mouminoux has also created works under the pen
names Dimitri, and Dimitri Lahache.)
While some have questioned the veracity of the book due to small niggling details that are left out or muddled the story which
is meant to capture the feelings and experiences of a young man in combat under horrific conditions is a masterpiece. These arguments
are a sideshow that have no place in my enjoyment of this heartfelt work. I highly
reccomend reading this book!

Conspiracy (Movie)
Drama depicting the Wannsee conference where Die Endlösung (final solution) was planned.
Writer; Loring Mandel; Directed by Frank Pierson
ISBN isbn
|
From http://www.spring.net/karenr/mdbro/conspiracy.html#prod "On January 20,
1942, 15 men gathered in a villa on the outskirts of Berlin for a clandestine meeting that would ultimately seal the fate of the European
Jewish population. Ninety minutes later, the blueprint for Hitler’s Final Solution was in place. Adolf Eichmann prepared 30 top-secret copies
of the meeting’s minutes. By the fall of the Reich, all had disappeared or been destroyed—except one. The Wannsee Protocol, found in the files
of the Reich’s Foreign Office, is the only document where the details of Hitler’s maniacal plan were actually codified, and serves as the
basis for Conspiracy."
