Fallschirmjäger.net - Policy
Posting, accuracy and editorial policies

Politics and History - This is a non-political web page dealing with the history, equipment, life and campaigns of the World War II German airborne soldier (Fallschirmjäger) and World War II reenacting. This website is contains historical information as well as reenacting and living history information. This information includes reenactment photos, historical information covering operations, equipment and photos of World War II Fallschirmjäger in action. The information is catalogued and presented to preserve a clear eyed view of military history and present to the public an accurate representation of a World War II German paratroop unit. We do not tolerate or condone any form of racism, radical or extremist activities, or persons with supremacist, fascist or racist political motives or beliefs and we do not support nor glorify the reprehensible policies of the Nazi Party. We do not tolerate, support, or condone any activities of any fascist, Nazi or neo-Nazi party organizations, any extremist, anti-immigrant or anti-semetic organizations.

Objectives - This website is designed, written and run to cpature the history of , equipment, life and campaigns of the World War II German airborne soldier (Fallschirmjäger) and in support of World War II reenacting. The information is as correct as possible attempting to overcome the fog of war with clear analysis. We are open to correction of facts. However we will avoid and will not engage in the small minded discussions of authenticity that seem to be pervasive in the reenacting community. Topics such as farbiness and smug frat-boy type morons who tag posts with Society for the prevention of splinter A smocks are topics best left to the halls of your junior high school popularity contest, not serious historical research and open discussion. Corrections and comments should be addressed to feldwebel.

Copyright and Attribution - WWII Kriegsberichter photographs, newsreels, words, music and recordings are not subject to copyright and are in the public domain. It is nonsensical to suggest that the rights of a fascist govenment that was defeated over 65 years ago; a government that no longer exits still maintains rights to these historical items. Websites that watermark and ruin photographs of historical value by plastering thier URL or names on them are moronic. Why would you do something so dumb? We will not alter, deface nor otherwise obscure these historical images and they may be used freely. Please copy the image rather than burdening my server by linking to it if it is going to be accessed again and again. Linking to a photo on this site as your avatar image isn't acceptable as it places an unfair burden on my bandwidth. Photographs of reenactments are property and copyright of the author and permission must be sought prior to republication. Credit will be given for all photographs. Permission to use may be sought by emailing feldwebel.
